Following the release of MBC's lineup for their upcoming 2011 Korean Music Festival (Gaeyo Daejun), SBS has confirmed its lineup for their own Korean Music Festival, set to take place on December 29th at 8:50 KST at KINTEX in Ilsan.
Artists who have been confirmed to participated in this year's SBS Korean Music Festival includes TVXQ, Super Junior, Girls' Generation, 2NE1, BEAST, Wonder Girls, KARA, CNBLUE, T-ara, IU, Lee Seunggi, Kim Hyunjoong, 4minute, f(x), Brown Eyed Girls, Davichi, Teen Top, G.NA, U-Kiss, Infinite, Dal Shabet, and A Pink.
SBS officials tell TV Report over the phone that they are preparing for a "Hallyu" concept stage for the festival and to expect many artists' joint stages during the show.
The official MCs for the show has not been confirmed yet, however. For the last 2 years, Super Junior's Kim Heechul has been one of the main MCs for the SBS Music Festival (Gayo Daejun), but is currently serving his country as a public personnel after entering the military training camp a few months ago.
CNBLUE's Jung Yonghwa, alongside Heechul, has also been the MC for the SBS Music Festival the past two years, and he is expected to be take the role for the 3rd time next week. An official from CNBLUE's agency said, "CNBLUE's Asia Tour begins next week and they will have a busy schedule."
Meanwhile, the 2011 MBC Korean Music Festival will air on December 31st, while KBS will hold their music festival on December 30th.
In addition to the Korean Music Festivals airing next weekend, Korean entertainment fans can expect to also watch and hear news regarding the various Drama and Entertainment Awards.
