On October 19th, Girls' Generation marked their anticipating comeback with the release of their 3rd studio album "The Boys." In addition to releasing their album at home in Korea, it was also available worldwide through iTunes as they begin their venture into the American music market.
At midnight, their studio album was made available on online music sites and by 7:30AM, the title song "The Boys" hit #1 on real-time charts on Bugs, Melon, Olleh Music, Soribada, and other major online music sites.
In addition to releasing their album, Girls' Generation released the English and Korean music videos of "The Boys," which ranked in the Top 10 Most Viewed on Youtube within 2 hours after it was released.
"The Boys" is the group's title track produced by Teddy Riley, a world-renowned producer known for working with Michael Jackson. The song features an intense and powerful drum sound and rhythm with a hint of urban pop dance.
Girls' Generation will have their first comeback stage on KBS Music Bank on October 21st before heading off to New York City for SMTOWN World Tour in New York. They will also have their first U.S. official fan meeting on October 24th in New York following the concert.
